Products & materials.
What we make, what it is made of, and how to care for it.
What products do you offer?
We design and 3D-print pill organizers in Switzerland: compact daily cases, two-row travel organizers, weekly organizers with one marker per day, keychain pill holders, made-to-order hourly organizers, and the Artsy editions with original motifs drawn in our studio. Each comes in 49 color combinations or in fixed artwork palettes, for daily use, travel, or as a gift.
Which pill organizer should I choose?
Start from your routine. Several doses through the day, carried along: the compact Daily cases, 2 to 4 compartments. Bigger routines or travel: the two-row Travel cases, 4 to 8 compartments. One dose per day across the week, filled once: the Weekly organizers, rotary or sliding-lid. Multiple doses a day at precise hours: the made-to-order Hourly. The next dose on your keys, as a backup: the Keychain holders. And for a statement piece, the Artsy editions put an original artwork on the same case.
What is the difference between the round weekly organizer and the compact weekly with sliding lid?
Two formats of the weekly family. The round weekly has a magnetic lid you turn day by day, which lifts off easily once set between two days, where the magnets release, magnets embedded in the material, day compartments that hold up to 9 capsules, and a hole right through the middle that makes it genuinely easy to hold. The compact weekly has a sliding lid that locks into two side notches and stays shut in a bag or a carry-on, 8 compartments (seven for the week plus one bonus), and no metal parts. For travel, the compact weekly is the one we would point to.
Where are your products made?
All Biinii Design products are designed and 3D-printed in Switzerland. Production takes place in our studio in Blonay, overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps, where we control every detail piece by piece.
Is Biinii Design a member of SWISS LABEL? What does the crossbow mean?
Yes. Biinii Design is a member of SWISS LABEL, the Swiss association whose crossbow mark identifies products and services of Swiss origin. Membership means the company is based in Switzerland and that the essential part of the value is created here: our pill organizers are designed, 3D-printed, finished and checked in our studio in Blonay. SWISS LABEL is distinct from the legally protected term “Swiss made”, and it is not a medical certification.
Are you the same Biinii Design as on Etsy?
Yes. Biinii Design began on Etsy, where more than 700 of our organizers found their owners, and the reviews you see here were earned there. biinii-design.ch is our own store, run by the same studio in Blonay: buying here is buying direct from the maker, no middleman.
What materials do you use?
Our organizers are 3D-printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer, with filament free from RoHS-restricted heavy metals and REACH substances of very high concern, SVHC (what these mean). The Hourly organizer is printed in PETG, the plastic family used for medical trays, with a deliberately translucent lid. Full details are on each product page under Safety & compliance.
Will my pills fit?
Every product page lists the inside dimensions of its compartments, under Technical details and in its own FAQ. As a rule of thumb: the standard cell takes a capsule up to 21 mm lying flat, the 4-compartment double-row case up to 33 mm, the 5-compartment case up to 43 mm in its full-width compartment, the keychain holders up to 30 or 40 mm, and the made-to-order Hourly has generous compartments, each 4.5 by 2.5 cm.
And to see it rather than compute it: our product photos deliberately show pills, liquid caps, blisters and supplements of all sizes in the compartments, and the photos on our reviews page add the best proof there is: real customers' routines, in real conditions.
Is PLA safe for storing medication?
Our organizers are designed for dry, solid forms: pills, tablets, capsules, vitamins and supplements, the way a blister pack or a pharmacy bottle stores them. PLA is a plant-based polymer, and the filaments we use are documented by their suppliers as free from RoHS-restricted heavy metals and REACH substances of very high concern (what these mean). Keep the organizer clean and dry, away from heat. Our products are not medical devices; for anything about the medication itself, ask your pharmacist.
How should I care for my pill box?
Rinse it with lukewarm water and let it dry; a drop of dish soap is fine. Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight, and never put it in the dishwasher: the heat could warp it. On the Hourly, a disinfectant wipe is fine on the PETG case, but never alcohol or solvents on the printed hours. Stop using any organizer that is cracked, deformed or worn. Full guidance: Product Care & Usage Guidelines.
Is it easy to open?
Opening ease is personal: hands, grip and habits differ, so we prefer describing the gestures to making promises. The sliding lid opens smoothly. The magnetic weekly lid turns day by day; set it between two days and the magnets release, so it lifts off easily. The Hourly slides open and was designed as much for hands that do not always answer the way you would like as for the caregivers at their side. Every model is built to be handled easily; if effortless opening is your priority, the magnetic rounds and the Hourly are the two we would point to first.
Is it OK for flights and airport security?
Yes. Our cases are 3D-printed plastic with no metal parts, with two honest exceptions: the magnetic weekly versions carry small magnets embedded in the case (magnets are allowed in cabin baggage), and the keychain holders hang from a metal keyring, which goes through the tray with your keys. For the medication itself, rules vary by country and airline; when in doubt, travel with your prescription.
Do pills have to be in their original bottles when flying?
In the United States, no: the TSA does not require original bottles, and a pill organizer is accepted in carry-on luggage. Regulations can differ from one country to another, so always check the rules before you travel.
Personalization & B2B.
Your photo, your logo, your brand.
How does the photo pill organizer work, and can I personalize other models?
The photo pill organizer carries your photo or logo UV-printed on its lid, 7.4 by 5.2 cm, with rounded corners as on the product photos, never a sticker. Upload the file directly on the product page: JPG or PNG for a photo (at least 1500 px on its long side), SVG or AI for a logo, up to 10 MB. We crop it to the lid, print it to order, and the studio contacts you if anything needs checking. The Hourly is printed to your hours, with a name or a logo on request. Standard models come in your colors: 7 lids, 7 bases, 49 combinations. For special requests, contact the studio.
Do you offer B2B or custom branding services?
Yes. Biinii Design can create custom 3D-printed pill organizers and related accessories with your branding. We offer tailored designs for wholesale, corporate gifts, promotional items, and specialized product needs. Past work includes a custom branded run for a U.S. wellness brand. For inquiries or references, please reach out via our contact page.
Orders & payment.
Secure checkout, and what happens after you order.
What payment methods do you accept?
Checkout is handled by Shopify Payments and offers the methods available for your country, including major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Klarna. The exact list is shown at checkout, in your currency where available.
Is my order secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through Shopify Payments. Your personal and payment information is encrypted and protected using industry-standard security measures.
When will my order ship?
Every organizer is 3D-printed in small batches in our studio, and every standard model is always available; the Hourly and the photo organizer are printed to order. Parcels leave Switzerland twice a week: order by Monday noon Swiss time and yours departs on Tuesday; order by Wednesday noon and it departs on Thursday. You receive an email with your tracking number the moment it ships. Delivery times by destination are detailed under How long does shipping take?
Can I change or cancel my order?
To cancel: yes, at any time before your parcel leaves. Parcels depart on Tuesdays and Thursdays: write to us by Monday or Wednesday, noon Swiss time, and we cancel and refund in full. Once it has shipped, our return windows apply, and EU and UK customers also keep their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, via our withdrawal form. The one exception: organizers personalized with your photo or your logo, and the Hourly printed to your hours, are made to your specifications, and are excluded from cancellation and from the right of withdrawal.
To change something, like a color or a size: contact us as soon as possible. Once printing has started we cannot always redo the piece, but we will always look for the most suitable solution.
What if my item is damaged or incorrect?
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange the most suitable solution, typically a replacement or a full refund, to ensure you have the best experience.
Shipping & taxes.
Where we ship, how long it takes, and who pays what. In full.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We currently ship to Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
United States: We ship to the USA with all duties and import taxes included (DDP). Orders are fully customs-cleared and shipped twice per week from Switzerland. No extra fees apply upon delivery.
United Kingdom: We ship directly from Switzerland under VAT Paid conditions. All taxes are collected at checkout, so you will not have to pay any additional fees upon delivery.
European Union: We are fully registered under the IOSS system (EU Import One-Stop Shop). Taxes are collected at checkout and transmitted directly to customs, ensuring smooth delivery with no surprise charges.
For a destination not listed here, write to the studio via the contact page.
How much is shipping?
Flat and simple, whatever you order: CHF 4.50 in Switzerland, to the United Kingdom and to Canada. CHF 5.50 across the European Union. CHF 6.00 to the United States and Australia. The rate depends only on your destination, never on how many organizers are in your cart, and it is charged in your local currency at checkout where available.
And these prices already carry the customs work: the 2026 EU duty on small parcels (3 €) is collected here and cleared before delivery, so there is nothing to pay at the door.
How long does shipping take?
Switzerland: 1–3 business days.
European Union: typically 4–9 business days after dispatch.
United Kingdom: typically 4–6 business days after dispatch, VAT Paid (no extra fees at delivery).
Canada: typically 6–10 business days after dispatch.
United States: typically 6–10 business days after dispatch, all duties and import taxes included (DDP), fully cleared through customs.
Australia: typically 8–16 business days after dispatch.
These are typical transit times. Customs clearance can occasionally add a few days, especially in periods when new rules come into force, such as the 2026 EU parcel duty or updated US tariffs. Your parcel is tracked the whole way. For Switzerland, the EU, the UK and the US everything is prepaid, so a customs pause never means extra fees for you; for Canada and Australia, most parcels clear without fees under the local thresholds.
What shipping services do you use?
We use tracked international services to ship your order. Once your order has been shipped, it will transit through the Netherlands before being forwarded to its destination as part of our shipping optimisation. For Switzerland, we use Swiss Post (registered).
You will receive an email with your tracking number, so you can monitor your parcel's journey.
Will I have to pay VAT or import taxes?
Switzerland: No import taxes or VAT, orders are shipped locally from Switzerland.
European Union: We are fully registered under the IOSS system (EU Import One-Stop Shop). VAT is collected at checkout and automatically transmitted to customs. The 2026 EU customs duty on small parcels (3 €) is also covered: it is collected within our shipping price and cleared before delivery, so you won't pay any surprise fees when receiving your order.
United Kingdom: We ship directly from Switzerland under VAT Paid conditions. VAT is collected at checkout, so there are no additional charges upon delivery.
United States: Biinii Design ships to the USA with all duties and import taxes included (DDP), and this includes the 12.5% US tariff on goods from Switzerland, which is built into our US prices. Orders are fully customs-cleared.
Canada: The official threshold is $20 CAD, but based on our experience, pill organizers are well below taxable limits and usually clear without fees.
Australia: Duty-free up to $1,000 AUD.
Returns.
Made in small batches, with your rights intact.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
Yes. Any item that is strictly new and unused can be returned within 15 days of delivery (Switzerland, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia) or 30 days (United States, Canada). For EU and UK customers, this includes the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (withdrawal form); organizers personalized with a photo or a logo are excepted, as goods made to your specifications. Return shipping is at your cost, and refunds are issued within 5 business days of inspection.
One rule has no exception: our organizers store medication, so returned items are never resold or refurbished. This is why we can only take back what is truly untouched.
For damaged or incorrect items, see What if my item is damaged or incorrect? Full details in our Refund Policy.
Is it gift-ready?
Gift box included on the Artsy, travel (two-row), weekly (magnetic and compact) and photo lines. The packaging is 100% recyclable, with no plastic used.
My organizer broke after a few weeks of normal use. Is this covered?
If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or a full refund. If a problem appears later, write to us through the contact page with photos and your order number: we look at every case directly with you. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Safety & compliance.
Who makes it, who answers for it in the EU, and what our materials contain.
Compliant with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), Regulation (EU) 2023/988.
Who is the manufacturer?
Biinii Design, Case Postale 172, 1807 Blonay, Vaud, Switzerland. Every organizer is designed and 3D-printed in our studio. You can reach us through the contact page.
Are the magnets in the weekly pill organizers a problem with a pacemaker?
The magnetic round weeklies contain small high-strength neodymium magnets, fully embedded in the case by design, for maximum safety: no exposed part that could detach. Magnets can interfere with pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, and this warning is part of our product safety notice, so keep the organizer away from the implanted device and follow the guidance of your cardiologist or the device manufacturer. If you prefer a magnet-free weekly, the compact weekly with its sliding lid contains no metal parts at all.
Are the magnets dangerous for children?
Pill organizers are not toys and have no child-resistant closure: keep them out of children's sight and reach, as you would the medication itself. The magnets in the round weeklies are embedded in the material by design, for maximum safety, with no exposed part that could work loose. Swallowed magnets can nonetheless attach to each other inside the digestive system and cause serious injuries: if swallowing is ever suspected, seek immediate medical attention. Do not use the organizer if the case is damaged. Around small children, a magnet-free sliding-lid model stored out of reach is the safer choice.
Who is your EU authorised representative?
Easy Access System Europe OÜ, Mustamäe tee 50, 10621 Tallinn, Estonia (gpsr.requests@easproject.com), EU authorised representative under Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR).
Is it a medical device?
No. Our organizers are designed to store and carry pills, vitamins and supplements; they are not medical devices and do not replace medical advice. Products with small parts are not suitable for children under 3 and are not toys. The magnetic weekly versions carry their magnets embedded in the material, with no exposed part that could detach.
What do RoHS, REACH and SVHC mean?
They are the European frameworks that control what substances a product may contain. RoHS is the EU directive restricting hazardous substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium. REACH is the EU chemicals regulation. SVHC stands for substances of very high concern: the REACH candidate list, maintained by the European Chemicals Agency, of substances identified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic to reproduction or otherwise seriously harmful. When we say our filaments are free from RoHS-restricted heavy metals and REACH SVHC, it means the material of your organizer contains none of these listed substances, as documented by our filament suppliers.
Where are the safety instructions?
Each product page carries its own Safety & compliance section (manufacturer, EU authorised representative, materials, warnings). The complete guidance lives on our Product Care & Usage Guidelines page.
